Battley Cycles
(AKA Rockville Harley-Davidson)
Battley Cycles is in Gaithersburg MD and sell HD, Ducati,
BMW, Buell, Triumph, Bimota and Yamaha. They also have tons of
leather and such. It is a very big store and worth a stop if you
are in the area. They are at 7830 Airpark Rd. Gaithersburg Md. 20879 (A few minutes off of I 270) and you can get directions by calling (301) 948-4581. Most of the people I
know there are hard core motorcyclist and really know what they
are talking about. They were even selling 916s at list price!!!
Crazy!
This is Devin Battley. Since he owns the store he gets to
be the first image you see. When he is not vogueing for the camera
on a Buell (Devin had the world's first Buell Dealership) he is racing one, or his FZR 1000 or his R1100 or
....
This is as close to smiling as you are likely to see Chris
get. He builds race bikes and tests them in his very own dyno
room. He taught the Dynojet guys a thing or two about making FZR
1000s go fast. He does not suffer fools gladly.
This is Chris (left) and YT (right) standing in the dyno room.
The dyno room has exhaust tubes, cooling blowers and air conditioning
for simulating those fall races. This dyno room cost $35,000 and
you can sign up for time on it. YT is the service manager and
before he came to his senses, road raced a Harley. He is very
fast. He just got a YZF 600 and is looking forward to breaking
track records across the state.
This is Steve Ward. Steve is
the most handsome member of the Battley staff. Steve does not
enjoy selling chrome covers that glue onto Harleys but he'll do
it when he has to. He was the Formula III National Champion in
1994 on an SRX 600 and is very familiar with bikes and gear. None
of our projects would work without his input of what will and
won't fit where. If you need parts for any of the various makes
which Battley handles I would strongly recommend dealing with
this man right here.
This is Devin with a Tetsi. He has not raced it so if you
want to buy it call him up.
Battley Cycles is worried that a literate Harley executive
whose thirst for litigation has not been quenched by sueing over
trademark infringements is going to read some of what I've written
and yell at Battley about it. Ah motorcycles, fetish of freedom,
red, white & blue and free speech. Rest assured you of the
litigious nature, no one at Battley has FTP access to these files
and I'm sure they are just as offended as you about the content
and would want to edit all text accordingly.
